Two of the smartest Toyotas we’ve never driven in Australia, denied to us for the Rukus – a car that looks less like the box it comes in than the factory that built it.

But you know what?

The Corolla-based Y-gen-mobile actually works, and very well to boot.

So while we’re still angry and upset that Toyota’s brilliant babies aren’t heading our way, the dorky tweenie we get instead is actually a welcome addition to the range.

Go figure!
