AS FORD'S manufacturing future in Australia continues to dominate local news, the future of the Ford-owned Jaguar and Land Rover brands are expected to become clearer with an announcement due this week.

Overseas media outlets have reported that Ford is poised to disclose its plans for the two British brands – both of which are headed by former Ford Oz boss Geoff Polites – after revealing last month that it was working with financial advisors and other parties to set up a potential sale.
