GM show car was designed in Korea but built in Melbourne

THE Chevrolet Orlando MPV-cum-SUV concept unveiled at the Paris motor show last week was built at GM Holden’s technical centre in Port Melbourne.
The Cruze-based seven-seat wagon was designed at GM’s styling centre in Bupyeong, South Korea before being brought to life in Australia ahead of its debut last week in the French capital.
“With concepts such as Efijy and Coupe 60 receiving fantastic international coverage, we have gained a strong reputation in this area,” said Holden design director Tony Stolfo.
“It’s a testament to the expertise found here in Australia that we were asked to be part of this global collaboration.”
