2008 Audi A4 TFSI sedan Car Review

Overview

AUDI has just replaced its volume-selling A4 with a new model that promises a far more sophisticated package to counter BMW and Mercedes-Benz, the established prestige Germans in the segment.

The new A4’s entry-level engine, the 1.8-litre TFSI, is a brand new design that, in tandem with the car’s new, bigger body, impressive interior and extensive features list, gives the Audi A4 its best shot yet of taking a bigger slice of the entry-level executive sedan market.

THE B7 series Audi A4 was in many ways a clear step forward for Audi with refinement and finish getting closer to the other prestige marques (in fact its interior presentation was best-in-class) and use of technology such as a CVT transmission which continues on in the current model.

A less than exemplary ride quality and steering that lacked feel and had rack rattle over bumps took the lustre off what was otherwise an accomplished model.
