Fairlane's future remains on thin ice as Ford sells just one LTD in February

FORD Australia recorded 196 Fairlane sales last month (and its first LTD sale for the year), however it was not evidence of a revival – and, we should add, cause for a stay of execution – for the long-wheelbase models.
"We increased our volume substantially, but I have to tell you that in that number we did quite a bit of rental business in the month," said Ford Australia president Tom Gorman.
"In the long-run we really have to see retail customers coming back to that product – and I’m not going to pull a punch here, it’s going to be very, very hard for us on long-wheelbase going forward. We’ll make a decision in the next couple of months on that one."
