AS DECEMBER draws near, “Car of the Year” awards invariably start to appear – and while GoAuto does not tend to dwell on them, the significant European COTY award was this week handed down to... the Fiat 500.
Due for release here in March next year, the 500 micro won the 2008 award with 385 votes, ahead of the Mazda2 (325) and Ford Mondeo (202).
It was judged by 60 journalists across 22 countries.
