2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV Car Review

Overview

By BYRON MATHIOUDAKIS
24/02/2017

NOT for the first time, Alfa Romeo is reborn.

But the difference between past reinventions like the front-drive 156 of 20 years ago and today’s Giulia reboot is exactly that.

The car in question adheres to what the Milanese brand used to stand for in the glorious post-war period of the ‘50s and ‘60s, with bespoke rear-drive sports sedans, not revamped Fiats albeit in fine Armani suits.

The result is altogether outstanding, as the viscerally fast, deliciously agile and yet impressively supple QV flagship reveals.

Ferrari knowhow has ensured that the Audi RS4, BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63 S are on notice from Italy.

For the first time.
