Leadership: VW’s global management has praised Michael Horn upon his departure from the company for the “great work he has done for the brand and with the dealers in the United States”.

- Michael Horn, Volkswagen Group of America chief executive, has resigned six
months after VW’s emissions scandal came to light.
- Mr Horn worked for VW for over 25 years and the German car-giant said the
decision to leave was “by mutual agreement”.
