SUBARU Australia has recalled 2288 examples of its new Liberty and Outback models due to a potential transmission oil leak.
The problem only affects vehicles with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), some versions of which may experience an oil leak from a faulty oil-cooler hose.
Vehicles potentially affected include 2010 model year examples of the Liberty sedan carrying vehicle identification numbers ranging between 002005 and 003880, MY10 Liberty wagons with VINs between 002086 and 006056, and MY10 Outbacks with a VIN range of 002075-006068.
Subaru recommends owners of all affected vehicles contact an authorised dealer for inspection and replacement of the faulty oil cooler hose if necessary.
