Bologna motor show
Bologna Salone Internazionale dell'automobile, Italy
Bologna motor show thrives in the heart of Italian super-car territory
TITLE: Bologna Salone Internazionale dell'automobile
WHERE: Bologna, Italy
WHEN: Late November/early December annually
NEXT: December 3, 2011
STATUS: Italy’s big new-car show
Recognised by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles, the Bologna motor show has taken over the once-mighty Turin motor show (Salone dell'automobile di Torino) as Italy’s premier new-vehicle expo.
Located in the great medieval university city near the heartland of Italy’s supercar manufacturing, comprising brands such as Lamborghini, Ferrari and Pagani, the Bologna show is an opportunity for the locals to show off their wares, although in recent times more manufacturers have taken the opportunity to debut their models at the Italian expo.
The event is usually held in late November or in early December, and marks the end of the international motor show season of each year.
